Dear Daughter
Our Life is pretty Great because we actually have the luxury of either immediately facing most of our problems or hiding from them … for awhile anyway. Yes, eventually we do need to come out from behind the curtains where absolutely no one could see us hiding and deal with stuff.
I do think that sometimes hiding is a good idea though, it allows you to put problems into perspective, to get over the initial emotional reaction. The problems facing our family are easy ones; they are not starvation, disease, cold, bankruptcy, war, etc. Our problems are actually pretty minor and often a result of our good fortune.
Of course you could also be hiding behind the curtain because your eyes are burning from the paint color you selected for your room? Bold choice!
