Dear Daughter

Congrats on the last test – Yeah!!!! I know that you still have a tough week ahead of you, but today Life is Great because we are safe and should be grateful for the people out there fighting to keep us that way. Large parts of California are currently on fire, our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico are suffering, and our Mexican neighbors were devastated by two recent large earthquakes. I know that you are already involved in helping others with your own volunteering, so today we should think about those needing help and those willing to put their lives at risk to help strangers. Our family is very fortunate not to be in harms way.

P.S. – I’m not too confident that the guy in the attached picture would be of much help, but I’m sure whomever loaned him the helmet could.
