Dear Daughter
Your father must have been kidnapped by gypsies) or something because it’s been forever since I wrote anything in this blog. Sorry if there’s any gypsies reading this, but someone had to take the fall for my lapse. This is obviously not a post about personal responsibility! Without my word of the day you must be completely inarticulate by now? Just spewing gibberish and drooling all over yourself? This is my fault and I am sorry for that!
Anyway, today we are going to focus on the simple gift of having a pain-free day. Most of us are so busy with our lives that we often neglect to be grateful for the little things. My recent battle with that 1 ton kidney stone put this into focus. So each day that you are walking around and able to stand up and sit down without making significant “dad noises” should be classified as a good day despite whatever other mishaps life throws at you. Enjoy your youth, your two relatively good knees and your pristine, stone free kidneys. The old cliché is very true, you don’t anything if you don’t have your health.
I’ll try not to get kidnapped again. Take care kiddo and see you soon.
Liberated Dad.
